Jessica Long
Jessica Long, MSN, RN, FNP-BC, is a nurse practitioner at Bloomfield Vein & Vascular. She applies a comprehensive approach to patient care, seeking to identify and treat the underlying causes of problems that patients are experiencing rather than merely treating symptoms.
She has a prestigious educational background, earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Michigan. Afterward, Jessica was then accepted into an exclusive critical care nursing program with the St. Joseph Mercy Health System, in which she worked rotations in a number of critical care settings including the cardiac care unit in addition to adult intensive care and the emergency room. Later, Jessica earned her Master of Science in Nursing, magna cum laude, from the University of Detroit Mercy.
At Bloomfield Vein & Vascular, Jessica assists patients in a number of capacities. She conducts patient interviews, assists in diagnoses, and ensures that patients understand the procedures that will treat their conditions. Her comprehensive approach is intended to ensure that patients maintain a high quality of life, and have minimal recovery time with maximum comfort, such that they may continue their normal activities as quickly as possible.
Jessica brings a wealth of experience to her work with Bloomfield Vein & Vascular’s patients.
She served as a critical care nurse for more than sixteen years, working in the intensive care units at both St. Joseph Mercy Hospital-Oakland and Ascension Providence Rochester Hospital (formerly Crittenton Hospital). In addition, Jessica treated patients experiencing a variety of problems at urgent care facilities in metro Detroit. Jessica’s experiences include treating patients with critical injuries, chronic illnesses, and life-threatening conditions. Her experience in these intense settings enables her to assist Dr. Hernandez in providing the best possible care for Bloomfield Vein & Vascular’s patients.
